Trip Intention
Origin Adventures began with a simple mission: to take you directly to the source, where the cacao and coffee beans in our products begin their journey. These immersive trips offer the ultimate experience of a transparent, direct-trade supply chain—connecting you with the people and processes behind every bean, from farm to finished product.
Accommodations
Our trips are designed to balance adventure with relaxation, offering plenty of opportunities to unwind, swim, experience local culture, and indulge in delicious regional cuisine. Throughout the journey, you’ll stay in comfortable accommodations that reflect the charm of the region. Participants will share lodging with immediate travel partners or be paired with a same-gender roommate. Whether it’s a beachfront hotel, eco-lodge, or cozy guesthouse, you can expect a restful place to recharge after each day’s activities.
Considerations While Packing
It will be hot sometimes (so shorts are common), but lightweight, long pants are also useful for farm visits to protect you from mosquitos and brush.
A layered clothing system for warm/hot/sunny days and cooler/cold evenings and nights or for cool/cloudy days is most efficient.

Staying Connected. Combating FOMO...
While we recommend that to leave your device off or at home to enjoy the immersive experience that is being made available, we understand the need to stay connected with those back home. We suggest that you contact your cell phone carrier to set you up with a travel plan. This is usually $10 per day.
Travel Insurance
While we do not anticipate injuries, it is best to be prepared. Check with your insurance provider to see if you are covered Internationally. If not, travel insurance is relatively cheap and can often be purchased through one of the large US insurance providers.
