GROW Cameroon

Greater Resilience, Opportunity & Wellbeing.

GROW Cameroon is a locally led nonprofit in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Their mission is to foster resilient ecosystems and thriving communities through regenerative agriculture, farmer training, and community-driven food security programs.
Our Roots

From a project to
a movement.

What began as an internal sustainability initiative for Moka Origins in Cameroon has grown into something much larger. As our tree planting and farmer training programs expanded, it became clear that lasting change required a locally led organization focused solely on the wellbeing of the land and its people.

GROW Cameroon was created as that organization—an autonomous nonprofit run and governed by Cameroonians. The team emerged from the original project staff and community leaders who had been shaping the work from the beginning.

Today, GROW bridges the gap between global coffee and cacao markets and the day-to-day realities of smallholder farmers in the Northwest Region. Their role is simple but powerful: listen locally, design programs with farmers, and make sure progress is sustainable, community-owned, and permanent.

Where We Work

Two hubs in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
GROW operates across the Northwest Region, focusing on communities where coffee, cacao, and food crops are the backbone of daily life.

Kumbo – High-elevation coffee landscapes From terraced hillsides to misty mountain farms, Kumbo serves as the hub for our high-elevation coffee outreach. Here, GROW works with coffee-growing communities on soil health, shade management, large scale tree planting and income diversification, so farmers can improve yields while protecting fragile highland ecosystems.

Mbonso – Low-elevation cacao & food security In the warmer lowlands around Mbonso, GROW supports cacao farmers and nearby villages through agroforestry, tree planting, and community food security projects. Cacao, plantains, beans, and fruit trees grow side by side, helping families balance cash crops with reliable food for the household.
