Job Title: Marketing Associate
Reports to: CEO
Location: In-Person in Honesdale, PA 
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

About Moka Origins 

Since 2015, Moka Origins has partnered with coffee and cacao-producing communities by providing agricultural training, tree-planting partnerships, and directly sourcing beans at fair prices. The mission of Moka Origins is to use chocolate and coffee as a vehicle for social change to break the poverty cycle for farmers while restoring the environment. We do this by planting thousands of trees yearly, operating agricultural training programs, and sourcing coffee and cacao at prices that earn farmers a living wage income. As a specialty coffee roaster and bean-to-bar chocolate manufacturer, we are proud to uphold the highest quality and ethical integrity with all our products.

Our Factory Store and Cafe in Honesdale

Our head office is located on the outskirts of Honesdale, PA, and is the home to Moka Origins chocolate factory cafe and retail store. This space provides unique opportunities for the public. It is designed to invite people into the extraordinary world of craft chocolate making and coffee roasting while enjoying the sensory experience that the manufacturing process creates. Visitors can enjoy our menu, samples, and shopping experience, and partake in tours and private events, and we encourage visitors to explore the factory on their own. 

Job Description For Marketing Associate

We seek a creative and driven individual passionate about marketing, branding, and storytelling to join our company as a Marketing Associate in Honesdale, PA. As the Marketing Associate for our CPG brand, you will be pivotal in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our products to market, ensuring a strong brand presence and a positive customer experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with overall sales objectives and ensure that our marketing calendar is current. Collaborate with our Management Team to define marketing budgets and goals.
  2. Brand Management: Manage the brand image through consistent messaging and visual identity. Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all channels.
  3. Product Photography: Capture high-quality product images that showcase our specialty coffee and chocolate offerings in the best possible light. Experience with product photography is essential.
  4. Copywriting: Craft compelling and engaging content for various marketing materials, including product descriptions, website copy, social media posts, and more.
  5. Social Media: Manage and curate our social media channels to increase brand visibility and engage with our audience effectively.
  6. Graphic Design: Proficiency in essential graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop.
  7. Website Management: Maintain and update our website to effectively reflect our brand identity and product offerings. No coding knowledge code is required; however, it is an advantage.
  8. Blog Writing: Help create engaging blog posts that resonate with our audience and align with our mission.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong organizational skills, scheduling, and multitasking abilities.
  2. Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
  3. Previous work experience in graphic design skills (Adobe Suite) is required.
  4. Basic experience in product photography is required.
  5. Experience in Mailchimp, Klaviyo or Hubspot
  6. Experience in social media content creation is required, along with familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
  7. Exceptional copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail.
  8. Creative thinker who can generate fresh and innovative marketing ideas.

Delivery and Event Associate

Position:  Delivery and Event Associate
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Moka Origins factory, Honesdale PA
Hours: Full-Time, Mon-Fri with the willingness to switch to weekend coverage during peak seasons.

Job Description

The Delivery and Event Associate plays a vital role in supporting and facilitating the day-to-day operations of our organization with a specific focus on sales-related logistics and relationship management. They are responsible for many customer-facing responsibilities such as equipment installations and training, factory tours, logistical assignments such as shipping and local deliveries, organizational assignments, and cleaning.  

 

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Outbound support such as customer deliveries, new client onboarding, equipment installations, equipment maintenance, catering events, and other customer service assignments.
  2. In-house support support such as packing, shipping, stocking, and supporting warehouse organization.
  3. Cross-functional collaboration between our Sales Team, General Operations,  Production team and Customers 
  4. Manage sales collateral inventory and liaise with our marketing team for design updates and print runs.
  5. Miscellaneous administrative and scheduling tasks.
  6. Occasional manufacturing assignments such as product packaging and various coffee and chocolate work
  7. Occasional barista duties
  8. Manage delivery vehicle cleanliness and support routine vehicle maintenance schedule. 
  9. Daily cleaning duties

Job Requirements

  1. Requires reliable transportation to and from work/office so you can show up on time and leave on time.
  2. Ability to drive for long periods and travel nationally as needed. 
  3. Valid driver's license and responsible driving history.
  4. Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  5. Requires the ability to shift focus between different tasks while maintaining organization.
  6. Strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.
  7. Coffee equipment maintenance is a plus but not required. Training will be provided. 
  8. Experience as a barista or a food service background is a plus, but not required.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Experience: Previous experience in an operational or facilities environment
  2. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to effectively manage tasks and maintain order.
  3. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure task accuracy and precision.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
