Our Factory & Café
Our headquarters just outside Honesdale, PA, is home to the Moka Origins chocolate factory, café, and retail store. This space invites customers into the world of craft chocolate and coffee through tours, tastings, events, and a unique behind-the-scenes factory experience.
Role Overview: Chocolate Production Assistant
We are seeking a meticulous, steady, and detail-oriented Chocolate Packaging Associate to join our production team on a part-time basis. This role focuses heavily on hand-wrapping chocolate bars, applying packaging materials with precision, and performing critical quality control checks that ensure every bar meets our premium standard.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys rhythmic, hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and brings a calm, steady presence to the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Hand Wrapping & Packaging

Hand-wrap chocolate bars consistently and neatly using our packaging materials

Apply outer sleeves and labels with precision and accuracy

Follow packaging count, weight, and sealing standards
Quality Control

Inspect each bar for defects such as cracking, breakage, bloom, or irregular mold patterns

Check packaging alignment, cleanliness, and label accuracy

Report quality issues immediately to the production manager
Workflow & Organization

Maintain a clean and organized packaging station

Keep track of daily packaging counts and production logs

Assist with boxing, sorting, and preparing finished goods for inventory
Team Collaboration

Communicate clearly with production leads and teammates

Maintain a positive, respectful, and steady attitude during repetitive tasks

Support team efficiency during high-volume days
Qualifications

Exceptional attention to detail — this is the heart of the job

Comfortable with repetitive, hands-on work that requires precision

Prioritizes food safety, cleanliness, and organization

Punctual, reliable, and emotionally steady

Good communication and team-oriented mindset

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

No prior chocolate experience required — training provided
