Hey Subscribers,

This month we are bringing you the first batch of a new recipe: Introducing our Dark Milk Chocolate, made using Fair Trade Organic cocoa from Ghana.

ABOCFA Cooperative in Ghana is known for its commitment to quality, transparency, and sustainability. These farmers are paid a premium - 43% higher than Fair Trade and Organic premiums combined - and remain 1 of 4 cooperatives in all of Ghana to hold certifications. The varietal of cacao they grow is mostly Amelanado (with some Trinitario), which is famous for its classic "chocolatey" taste. We paired this bean with A2/A2 organic whole milk from Alexandre Family Farms in California to make the perfect Dark Milk Chocolate Bar. Taste it side by side with our Sea Salt Dark Chocolate for a sweet and salty experience.

In your coffee boxes, I have roasted a special batch of Kenya Single Origin from the fertile central highlands of Nyeri County. This region lies between the western slopes of Mt. Kenya and the eastern end of the Great Rift Valley, where the fertile volcanic soil produces some of the best coffees in the world. This deep, rich, and complex roast brings notes of bakers chocolate and black currant. We are pairing it next to a round and fruity Single Origin from Guatemala.

Hope you enjoy,
Jeff Abella
