About Moka Origins

Since 2015, Moka Origins has partnered directly with coffee- and cacao-growing communities to provide agricultural training, plant thousands of trees each year, and source beans at prices that support a living income for farmers. Our mission is simple: use chocolate and coffee as a vehicle for social change, breaking cycles of poverty while restoring the environment. As a specialty coffee roaster and bean-to-bar chocolate maker, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of craft, transparency, and ethical sourcing.

Our Factory & Café

Our headquarters just outside Honesdale, PA, is home to the Moka Origins chocolate factory, café, and retail store. This space invites customers into the world of craft chocolate and coffee through tours, tastings, events, and a unique behind-the-scenes factory experience.

Role Overview: Marketing Associate

We are seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Marketing Associate with strong graphic design and content editing skills. This role is all about producing high-quality visual and written content that elevates our brand, supports product launches, and keeps our marketing engine running smoothly.

You’ll collaborate closely with our leadership and operations teams and play a hands-on role in shaping how our products, story, and mission show up across digital and in-store channels.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Content Creation

  • Create visually compelling marketing assets using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Support our packaging design updates, social graphics, email assets, signage, sales sheets, and promotional materials.

  • Edit and polish content to ensure clarity, consistency, brand accuracy, and strong storytelling.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Support planning, scheduling, and publishing content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and email.

  • Assist in writing and editing captions, newsletters, website updates, product descriptions, and blog content.

  • Help ensure the monthly marketing calendar stays updated and aligned with product and sales teams.

Photography & Video Support

  • Capture product photos and short-form video clips when needed.

  • Assist with on-site content capturing during events, café activity, production days, and new product releases.

Brand Consistency & Asset Management

  • Maintain and follow brand guidelines across all marketing outputs.

  • Keep digital asset folders, design files, and marketing collateral organized and accessible.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work with the CEO, marketing team, and sales department on campaigns, wholesale promotions, and product launches.

  • Support packaging updates, café signage, event materials, and seasonal campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Strong graphic design experience is required
    (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign — portfolio required).

  • Demonstrated content editing and copywriting experience.

  • Experience creating social media content and understanding current content trends.

  • Basic photography and videography abilities (phone and DSLR).

  • Solid organizational, scheduling, and multitasking skills.

  • Clear communicator with strong attention to detail.

  • Creative problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.
