Jeff’s key motivations are good coffee, great chocolate, his family and empowered communities. Jeff moved to Cameroon in 2007, and has been focused on international community development ever since. His passion for social entrepreneurship led him to work on humanitarian projects not only in West Africa, but North India and Central Mexico as well.
In 2015, Jeff co-founded a regenerative cacao farm and agricultural training initiative in Cameroon. This spiraled into establishing Moka Origins, a bean-to-bar chocolate factory and coffee roasting company in Honesdale Pennsylvania.
Jeff currently serves as the Managing Director for Himalayan Institute Cameroon, and CEO of Moka Origins where he manages supply chain and brand strategy, while also overseeing reciprocity and impact at origin. He also serves as a member of the FedEx Entrepreneur Advisory Board.
Jeff loves to talk to groups about social entrepreneurship, small business strategies, and how to use business as a way to do good in the world. Recents talks included United Against Human Trafficking, FCIA, and Malvern Prep. In 2019 Jeff presented to students at Yale University and was awarded the FedEx Small Business Grant.
