There are very few among us who can resist the delicious charm and temptation of a chocolate chip cookie. Try this version of the classic recipe to make some big cookies that are oh so good.

  • 2 cups plus 2 tbs unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 12 tbs (1.5 sticks unsalted butter, melted and cooled until warm
  • 1 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg plus additional 1
  • yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 - 1.5 cups MOKA chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl and set aside.

Either by hand or with an electric mixer, mix the butter and sugars until thoroughly blended. Beat in the egg, yolk, and vanilla until combined.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and beat at low speed until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Using a large scoop, roll about 1/4 cup of dough into a ball and place onto prepared baking sheet.

Bake until cookies are light golden brown and outer edges start to harden, 15-18 minutes, rotating cooking sheets front to back halfway through.

Cool the cookies on the sheets and enjoy!
