]]>Ah February, what a sweet month – it’s a great excuse (not that you need one) to show that special someone how much you care about them. With so much love in the air, we figured we’d include our limited batch Strawberry Swirl bar in this month’s MokaBox. This bar is a Ugandan dark chocolate base with strawberry white chocolate hand-swirled into it (heart-shaped swirls). All chocolate subscribers will receive this bar, and two bar subscribers will also receive our super creamy Vanilla White chocolate bar, which has ethically sourced vanilla from Uganda ground into it.
Now let’s talk coffee. This month our limited batch roast is from the Huila Region of Colombia and has smooth notes of red berries, citrus, and chocolate. It’s a nice, full-bodied coffee that all coffee subscribers will enjoy. Two coffee subscribers will also receive our medium roast Guatemala which has pleasant nutty notes with a hint of stone fruit such as apricot.

Happy April Subscribers!
Spring has arrived and warmer weather has everyone looking for fresh and vibrant flavors. That's why this month, we are releasing limited batch chocolate and coffee that brings all the satisfying tastes and textures to commemorate the coming of Spring.
Our chocolate subscribers will enjoy our limited batch Dark Mint Quinoa Crunch Chocolate - with soft peppermint and puffed quinoa, this bar is delightfully crunchy and smooth at the same time. Our two bar subscribers will enjoy it next to our zingy Cherry Chocolate made using cacao from Kokoa Kamili in Tanzania.
For our coffee subscribers, we are including our newest Limited Batch release: African Springberry Blend. While experimenting with beans from both Cameroon and Ethiopia, our coffee roaster Josh created something special. A unique coffee that brings tasting notes of bright citrus fruits and a smooth caramel finish. This limited batch roast of coffee will have you feeling like walking through the lush rainforests of Africa. Our two coffee subscribers will enjoy it next to our Fair Trade Organic Guatemala single origin coffee.

The first day of Spring is right around the corner and we are celebrating with a variety of beans from all across Africa, including a limited batch chocolate inspired by fresh flowers and refreshing citrus flavors.
Introducing our Lemon Lavender Dark Chocolate. Real lavender flowers are steeped in cocoa butter and stone ground into Uganda cocoa, creating a delicately balanced floral flare to this Fair Trade Organic chocolate. To compliment the fruity overtones of the cacao, we also added pure lemon - the perfect bar for springtime. To compliment the springtime flavors, our coffee subscribers are getting our flagship coffee from Cameroon. Grown in the foothills of the Mt. You're in for a burst of flavor this month. Introducing our limited batch Cherry Almond Chocolate, made using bright Tanzanian Cacao sourced from our friends at Kokoa Kamili in Tanzania.
Tanzania is world famous for Mount Kilimanjaro, but it also has a long history with cocoa, which was introduced to the country in the 1880s. We work with beans grown in Mbingu Village (“mbingu” means “heaven” in Kiswahili), in the Kilombero Valley, a region historically known to be one of the lowest-paid regions in the country for their cocoa crops.
Located in the heart of Tanzania, Kokoa Kamili buys wet cacao beans (before fermentation happens) from more than 4,000 smallholder farmers in this region and pays the highest price for cacao in all of Tanzania. Since everything is centrally fermented and post-harvest practices are carefully monitored, these beans are now considered to be the highest-quality beans in the region.
